Biography Talented. Soulful. Balladeer. Professional. These are just a few words to describe Mose Stovall. Mose is a true artist with a passion for music. Singing since the age of twelve, he began recording in 2001 and began performing publicly in 2003. Making music and singing is his God given talents that don’t go to waste.
Birmingham, AL…Soul1st Records, LLC based in Birmingham, AL has signed local R&B singer, Mose Stovall, who recently won the Birmingham Area Music Award (BAMA) as Best R&B Artist to a record deal. The record company released Mose Stovall’s first CD last year. Soul1st executive, Reg McDaniel, said that his company wanted to sign a local artist with the best potential to sell records worldwide. “In order to establish Soul1st Records as a true player in the music industry, we had to find someone with the voice and talent that is appealing to soul music lovers everywhere and Mose has the talent and voice.” He has sung with the Birmingham Civic Opera, Birmingham All City Choir, and the State of Alabama Choral Ensemble. As a seasoned balladeer, his career highlights include opening for renowned artists like Erykah Badu, Willie Clayton, The O’Jays, and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. He appeared on Star Struck hosted by Donnie and Marie Osmond and was the opening act for the first Urban Grammy Showcase. He received an Urban Grammy award for his talents and accomplishments in 2001. Mose currently hosts a weekly TV show called “BEATS TV” shown on Birmingham’s local station ABC 33/40. While Mose performs with Birmingham area bands Force Five and Pharcyde, he does enjoy a career as a solo act. Artists like the late Luther Vandross, Anthony Hamilton, and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly inspire his music. He released a soulful R&B solo CD entitled “Private Party” in 2003. His third recording project plays tribute to such hits as “Hold You”, “The Problem Is You”, and “Good Lovin.” You will find Mose paying tribute to his favorite idols during his live performances. He has an extensive song list that is sure to please any crowd. Finally, Mose Stovall won the 2007 BAMA Award for the Best R&B/Soul Recording Artist and Mose Stovall is the NOMINEES for Best New Southern Soul Artist Of the Year - Male on 2008 JUS` BLUES MUSIC AWARDS NOMINEES. |
